By laying out minimum pan-Canadian standards, those seeking post-secondary education will know that educational institutions across Canada have met the same basic criteria. Consumer protection is also addressed through the monitoring of institutions’ performance. Institutions deemed a “high risk” will be monitored more closely than those deemed a “moderate risk”.
