How does the Court of Appeals for the Province of Chicago work?
If an affirmative decision has been reached by the Chicago Tribunal, the case will again be reviewed by a Defender of the Bond for the Court of Appeals and a panel of three judges (none of whom serve on the Chicago Tribunal). The judges can either confirm the decision of the Chicago Tribunal, or ask to have the case re-opened and re-heard. After the Court of Appeals has concluded its work, it will inform the Chicago Tribunal of its decision. Both parties will be informed of this decision.
