How Does the Cost of Synthetic Turf Compare to Real Grass?
Not to be vague but we need to know what the “real” cost of a natural lawn is. First there’s the actual cost of the sod along with the cost of installation. Then the price to have your sprinkler system installed to keep it alive, then the yearly expense of water, fertilizer, maintenance, toxic pesticides (Don’t you hate fire ants?) year after year after year. Oh yeah, and don’t forget what you have to pay to have the lawn mowed every week throughout the Spring and Summer and/or the cost of the lawn mower, weedeater, edger, etc. And probably the most expensive part of a natural lawn is the water bill every month. And we all know it’s going up every year. So all things considered it’s only a matter of time before a lawn actually pays for itself.
