How does The Corporate Library ensure data quality?
The quality and accuracy of our data is critically important to our subscribers and the companies we rate, making quality control the concern of every employee at The Corporate Library. We start by collecting and maintaining most of our data in-house. Data collected automatically or purchased from third parties is reviewed by examining a sample of covered companies. Data collected manually is reviewed by individuals other than those collecting the data. Next, a team of analysts compares the data with the original source. Prior to import into Board Analyst, the global data import list is reviewed for discrepancies. A final systematic review is conducted in the end-user products by a dedicated Quality Control Manager. Additionally, our data collection and quality control processes are reviewed periodically to identify areas of improvement.
