The files are stored on the CD-ROM or CD-RX disc in encrypted format. The AutoLock Wizard adds a small autorun file that executes automatically when inserting the protected disc into your CD drive. This autorun is the HexaLock content manager that allows 3rd party applications to read the encrypted files properly. In addition, the content manager blocks any application that can read protected files from saving the files to another storage medium. Copy & pasting the files content to another application is optionally permitted and even blocking printing and print screen operations can be prevented by the AutoLock Wizard. The publisher can optionally choose which selected features to block and/or allow when setting up his/her protected master.
