How does the consulting project work?
Each cohort will be broken into groups of 3-5 students, paired with a faculty-appointed project manager from the education or private sector, and assigned a real-world client with an authentic business problem. Each client signs a formal consulting engagement with The Fox School of Business with the explicit understanding that MBA student teams will conduct extensive market research, perform deep, comprehensive client-specific analysis, and ultimately produce a strategic recommendation for solving the problem in business plan format with appropriate financial projections. The final recommendations will be presented to the clients in person at the third and final residency in year 2 of the program. Past clients have come from a diverse array of industries, including wealth management, manufacturing, investment banking, medical devices, video gaming, beef production, and many others. In most cases, students have the option of visiting clients at their home offices.
