How does the construction Manager save the Owner money in the design phase of the work?

0

The Construction Manager works in conjunction with the Architect. During the design of the project the Construction Manager is reviewing the proposed designs and providing the cost engineering to assure the Owner that the project will be within the budget. All the preliminary plans are reviewed and comments given to the Architect and the Owner along with suggested alternatives for possible cost savings. The Architect, Owner and the Construction Manager review the suggestions and the Owner directs the Architect how he wishes to proceed. This process is repeated through the entire design process. This also keeps the Owner advised as to how he is spending his money. The Owner then begins to see the value of the work.
