How does the Connect platform of mass notification services work?
Each product within the Connect family combines the power of the Internet with the pervasiveness of the telephone to give users an affordable and easy-to-use tool to reach out to their communities. Users record a voice message over the telephone to send a message in the voice of a credible spokesperson or type a message to be read by an automated, human sounding voice and the Connect service sends the message to recipients’ landlines, cell phones, e-mail accounts, PDAs, TTY/TDD receiving device, and/or other text-based devices within minutes. It is also possible to integrate with networked digital signage. Each Connect service also provides an easy-to-use Web interface that allows users to select message recipients from a pre-determined list of groups or via a geographic map interface. For maximum flexibility, users also are able to record and send a call using just a telephone.
