How does the collective bargaining unit at my school/district affect the award distribution?
Each local governing board will negotiate individual award amounts with the exclusive representative of the teachers and other certificated staff’s bargaining unit. In the event that the local governing board and exclusive representative of the bargaining unit do not reach an agreement regarding the amount of the award, all teachers and other certificated staff at the school shall receive an award amount that is equal to a percentage of their base salary, determined by dividing the total amount awarded to a school by the sum of the annual base salaries for teachers and other certificated staff at the school.
