How does the collection scheme affect properties with communal bins?
Communal properties do not have Green Bins, as it is not feasible due to contamination issues. They will continue to receive a weekly Black Bin collection service as it is not as straight forward as individual premises. Doncaster Council is currently developing a service that will enable us to safely collect recyclable material separately from flats. It is hoped that this service will be introduced within the next year and residents living in flats will be contacted when the service is due to begin in their area.
