How does the chemistry work? How effective is it in the presence of soil?
Hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid are both powerful oxidizing agents, and they work by destroying internal components of target microorganisms. Peracetic acid, the stronger oxidizer, breaches the outer membrane, coat, or capsule of the target microbe. Hydrogen peroxide then reacts with and destroys the microbe’s internal components, such as DNA. Refer to the How it Works Video to see the actives in action.
