How does the chemical composistion in the liver change with blood glucose?

Liver works sort of like a buffer for glucose on blood. Glucose in the liver is stored as glycogen, a heavy and dense molecule that aggregates many glucoses. Now I am not sure what you mean by the chemical composition in the liver… Liver maintains blood glucoses levels in the blood in a acceptable level using many systems depending on the availability of glucose, lipids and proteins. The liver(and also muscle) can intake glucose if glucose levels in the blood are too high… and it can also release glucose if glucose levels in the blood are getting low. Glucose is maintained inside the cell as glucose-6-phosphate… and if in excess it is converted into glycogen. all this processes are controlled my two hormones, insulin and glucagon.
