How does the change in microarray chips affect my matching and Population Finder results?
In most cases, the change from the Affymetrix platform to the Illumina Omni platform will not have an impact on either your Family Finder matching or your Population Finder results. This is because the Bioinformatics team has always used stringent standards for DNA segment identification and match determination. Any differences to Population Finder results will be minimal as the SNPs used are not being revised at this time.
