How does the chandelier disappear in Las Vegas after the crash rather than being raised back up slowly in full view as in The Original Production?
[L.V] Because the chandelier falls after Point Of No Return in Las Vegas, and not at the climax of Act 1 as in The Original Productions, there is no chance for it to be raised slowly like it is in The Original productions interval, also technology has advanced a lot since The Original Production opened in 1986. Once the Las Vegas chandelier has fallen it smashes into 4 separate pieces as it slams into the stage, there is a blackout and it is quickly re-assembled (as it is during The Overture but super fast this time) and is pulled back up and concealed inside the dome of the theatre during the scene change. The whole thing happens so fast that the audience do not notice and it seems that we have moved to another part of the theatre effortlessly.
