How does the CD Card Duplication process work?
” Duplication is a completely different process than replication and in general is more cost effective for smaller runs of 500 pcs or less. Even though CDrs can be duplicated faster, this process is slightly more expensive than replicating because it is “a different process”. Duplication starts with a master CD-r that the client provides. The blank media is then duplicated in a tower that consists of multiple burners. The master disc is placed in the source drive and the blank CD-rs in the slave drives. Once these blank CDrs are duplicated with the masters data they can then be labeled with a high quality printed label or printed with either thermal or silkscreen printing.
