How does the ccAlert platform stop spam and misuse?
While no service is ever immune to misuse, the ccAlert platform is focused on the privacy of the individual. The ccAlert service has a number of built-in privacy features: • Each community is protected through a password based sign-in page • Users can designate whether their listing is private (or public) in nature, which would only be accessible by individuals within the same private community • With each message, no contact information of the individual is revealed personal details are not given out, even within a private community • The service provides individuals the ability to create contextual names or alias, without revealing their actual name • In situations where people have given/lost their identity, individuals can change their alias names without having to change their contact information.
