How does the capital campaign differ from our annual stewardship pledges?
A Capital Campaign has certain features that distinguish it from annual stewardship giving. A Capital Campaign concerns a specific project, such as our building project. It seeks larger amounts of money that are separate from annual stewardship giving. It requires a PLANNED, SACRIFICIAL, AND INSPIRATIONAL effort, often involving gifts of properties, securities or other tangible assets. Another distinguishing feature is that the donors select the payment plan that is convenient to them. Finally, given the larger amount of the pledge, Capital Campaign payments are scheduled over a longer period of time.
