How does the Buddy List feature work on my mobile phone?
Just like on your PC, the Buddy List feature on your mobile phone displays the name and status for all online and offline buddies. The first time you sign on to AIM service for SMS phones, there are no buddies listed unless you have created a group named “Mobile Device” using AOL, AOLTV, AOL Mobile Communicator, AIM Express or the AIM service on your computer. If you are using AOL 4.0 or greater, AIM 4.7 or greater, or AIM Express, and if you have not already created a Mobile Device group using your PC before you sign on to AIM service on your mobile phone, a “Mobile Device” group is automatically created in your AIM Buddy List when you sign on to the AIM service for the first time. This list is limited to 30 buddies. If you add more than 30 to your Mobile Device group, only the 30 most recently-added will be retained.
