How does the browser checker work? Will it be updated if new browsers are certified?
When a user logs in to WebCT Campus Edition the browser checker automatically looks to see if the browser being used is supported and informs the user if it is not. Additionally, if a user clicks on the browser checker link, the checker will detect and inform the user whether or not their browser is supported. The Browser Checker directs users to the WebCT Browser Tune-up area for information on supported browser options. Administrators have the ability to update the browser checker configuration files to their preferences. As new browsers are certified by WebCT, the browser checker will be updated accordingly via Service Packs.
