How does the bolt stop on my Ruger Mark I pistol operate?
The bolt of the Ruger Mark I pistol does not automatically ‘hold open’ when the last cartridge from the magazine has been fired and cannot be converted to do so. The user can easily lock the bolt open by pushing upward on the safety while the bolt is held fully to the rear.
