How does the Bob Ross technique differ from conventional oil painting?
“Wet-on-wet” paintings are always completed in a single sitting. Special formula paints are used exclusively together with brushes and knives designed solely for this technique. Conventional oil paints will not work effectively with this style of painting.Q: How many lessons will I need to master the technique? A: This will vary from individual to individual, but you will produce an excellent painting at your very first lesson! Like all things worth doing however, practice is required to master the technique and lessons will show what to practice.Q: I haven’t used oil paints before – how difficult are they to use? A: Because you will paint on a wet canvas it becomes easy to apply and blend the paint. Students who have tried other painting mediums such as water colour or acrylics will find this technique a lot easier.Q: How are landscape subjects chosen for the lessons? A: We use specially designed projects which will quickly teach how to use the paints and equipment effectively. There
