How does the BMPO coordinate with the City of Bend and Deschutes County?
Who staffs the Bend MPO? How do I contact the Bend MPO? What other Oregon cities have MPOs? What does the BMPO do? As mentioned above, the BMPO is responsible for coordinating transportation planning activities in the MPO area. To accomplish this, the BMPO Policy Board along with other appointed MPO committees, the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), identifies transportation issues of regional significance, and prepares transportation planning documents that outline future transportation system improvements and prioritize project implementation. Bend MPO planning documents include: Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) Federal transportation planning regulations require the annual development of a UPWP which describes the transportation planning tasks undertaken in the metropolitan area.
