How does the blood bank work?
It works on the same general principles as the money bank. A surplus always be available. Just as money is deposited before it can be with drawn, blood should be donated before the actual need for it arises. Otherwise it may be too late to help the patient. Further, only when there is a big surplus of blood will it be possible to obtain the less common type of blood that may be needed for transfusion.
