How does the BASI test align with my state standards?
The BASI test was developed in consultation with curriculum experts using the Model Curriculum and Assessment Database (MCAD). The MCAD, propriety to Pearson Education, is an amalgamation of the “best of the best” local, state, and national educational standards from U.S. schools. In other words, the BASI test’s content was based on the standards most frequently used by states. As a result, the BASI test covers a wide range of content across six academic areas. Depending upon how your state standards are defined, should cover at least 70-80% of your state’s testing standards.
