How does the automatic updating function work?
If you wish, you may save any entered CASRN in CAPCCAT and choose to automatically be notified by email when any change occurs to the regulatory status of that substance. CAPCCAT will save the regulatory compliance status of the substance on the day you enter it. This includes the listing of the substance on any inventory and the presence of the substance in any published CASRN-specific risk management measure notice. Every day CAPCCAT downloads the inventories and risk management measure notices anew and screens your substance against the newly downloaded information. If there are any changes, CAPCCAT will send you an email that will display the substance’s previous compliance assessment and the updated assessment. For example, if your substance was not previously listed on the NDSL, but was added within the last day, CAPCCAT will detect a change in the compliance status of the substance and will send you an email informing you of the change.
