The system is set to change based on the temperature and the set points that you have set. When in Heat Mode, the temperature needs to rise (2) degrees above the Cool set point and then the unit will switch to the Cool Mode. Likewise, when in Cool Mode the temperature needs to fall (2) degrees below the Heat set point and then the unit will switch to the Heat Mode.
