How does the author in “an inspector calls” use characters to criticise the attitudes of the society?

err… He uses the characters to cristise attitudes of society then by showing how the upper class looked down on the lower class, like the way mr and mrs birling do to eva. Like how Birling tries to use his authority to persuade the inspector to just talk to him and how he implies because he was( i cant remember exactly) like a Governor i think that he cant do any wrong. Mrs Birling using her influence to get eva’s case rejected, etc. I hope this helps.
