How does the assisted parking benefit work?
Only first-year scholars who do not live on campus are eligible for this benefit. You receive additional points toward on-campus parking. Student parking assignments are made through a need-based point system that considers such factors as class standing and commute distance. Students who demonstrate the greatest need are given preference. Once the information supplied on the student parking application is processed, a point total is assigned to each applicant. This ranks your individual need for parking compared to other student applicants. Parking assignments are made starting with those students with the highest point totals continuing down through lower totals until the available parking supply is exhausted. If you wish to obtain an individual parking permit, you must submit a student parking request form prior to the quarterly deadlines. A limited number of student parking permits are available each quarter.
