How does the assessor know if a parent is lying?
Parents who are participating in a custody access assessment are usually anxious to present themselves in the best possible light and, conversely, may try to paint a negative picture of the other parent. The assessor is aware of this. Assessors may evaluate the credibility of any information, not only based on what parents are saying, but also how it is being expressed and whether or not the information is supported by other available information.
