How does the applicant screening process work for Office/Service positions?

Once Office/Service positions close on Friday at 1:00pm, a Human Resources Facilitator will evaluate your work-related job history, educational background and will select a finalist group of candidates for referral to the department(s) for consideration. If you are selected as a finalist, an interview will be arranged by the hiring department. If you have not been contacted by the department within two weeks after the closing date, this may indicate that you have not been selected as a finalist for the position; you may want to consider applying for other openings since your application remains on active status for twelve months from the time of your application was submitted. If you are selected as the top candidate for the position, job-related references will be checked (usually with current and former supervisors) and you may be scheduled for a pre-employment physical examination if the position requires one.
