How does the AFI DCL application and selection process work for media providers?

0

The AFI DCL recruits and accepts applications from media properties and content owners for a hands-on production and/or development process. Applications are available online, and are accepted at any time for an upcoming production cycle. Production cycles being on a quarterly basis, and production takes place year-round. All applicants are interviewed by phone after their application is received. An AFI DCL Selection Board comprised of industry experts meets quarterly to select participants. Participating properties will be notified at least six weeks in advance of the beginning of the production quarter for which they have applied. If not selected, an applicant may resubmit their application for an upcoming production quarter.
