How does the ACR Processing Service work? How long does it take?
We offer ACR (or Airman Certificate Renewal) processing for those pilots who do not have the time to go down to their local FSDO to renew. For a nominal fee, we at Gleim will process your renewal paperwork and send you back your temporary license. Once you complete our FIRC course, you will need to mail us your Certificate of Completion, your 8710 form, your Official Identification Document, and your original CFI Certificate. (All of this is explained in further detail on the FIRC webpage.) Once we receive your paperwork, we will process your renewal and mail back your temporary certificate in 7 to 10 business days. You will receive your laminated certificate from the FAA 120 days later. If you have any further questions concerning the FIRC course, please visit our About FIRC page, or email our FIRC administrator at fircadmin@gleim.com.
