When the 2D snap (or 2D/3D auto-calc snap) is active, the elevation in the stereo model is registered on pressing the tentative button the first time. If the tentative button is pressed a subsequent time without first accepting the existing tentative point with a data point or rejecting it with a reset point, then the registered elevation is not changed.
