How does temperature affect the efficiency of electronic equipment?
Higher temperatures in active devices usually means greater resistance and noise. Also the internal functions of the device are adversely affected by increased electrical leakage (especially for lower power devices). The big effect of high temperature is decreasd reliability. Increased failure rates due to higher thermal stress and materials diffusion.
