How does technology affect the study of weather?
To put it simply, it allows forecasters to analyze current and past weather conditions. As for the study of weather, technology has allowed researchers to better understand how many components of the atmosphere work and their importance. Remote sensing is the best example. Satellite and radar imagery has allowed us (atmospheric scientists) to identify fronts, pressure systems, clouds, air masses, jet streams, troughs, ridges, and much more.
