How does teaching a Distance Learning course differ from teaching a traditional class?
Teaching a DL course can differ from teaching a traditional class in two ways. The first is content delivery. Although USC degrees carry equal weight, and whether earned online or in an on-campus class, course requirements are equally rigorous, teaching a course online may require you to reformat some content for delivery in an online environment. The second difference is communication with students. Online assignments and virtual office hours simulate “face-to-face” interactions to help you get to know distance students.
