How does SymTrend use cookies?
SymTrend uses session cookies for several purposes. For example, a session cookie is created when the User logs on, and exists only as long as the User has his/her browser open. The cookie becomes useless when the User logs off, or after 20 minutes of no activity on the system. It is imperative that Users log off the system at the end of a session, particularly if using a shared machine. These session cookies are necessary for security – to check that someone attempting to access a database or chart has the correct username.
