How does SwitchEmail forward Email from OLD to NEW Email addresses?
SwitchEmail operates similar to a “Change of Address” service offered by the local Post Office that forwards mail to a new address. Similarly, users register OLD and NEW e-mail addresses with us. Users have (2) options upon registration: Those with open or active OLD e-mail accounts register under Verifiable Accounts. That way, SwitchEmail can verify the ownership of the OLD account, and we will automatically forward messages to the NEW e-mail address. Those with closed OLD e-mail accounts register under Non Verifiable Accounts. Since the ownership of the OLD account cannot be verified, SwitchEmail notifies the sender of the NEW e-mail address.
