How does sugar water affect plant growth
Sugar water has the potential to aide in plant growth provided that it is not used in excess. Plants require glucose for both cellular regeneration and growth. Because sugar is a form of glucose, adding a small amount of sugar to the water used to water a dying plant can help to bring it back to life, but watering a healthy, vibrant plant with sugar water has the potential to cause glucose overload which can in turn result in browning of the leaves and plant decay.
