How does STRUDS® design slabs subjected to point load or line load?
When the user creates a slab, STRUDS® gives the option of applying Point load as well as the Line Load. In case of the Point load, the user has to specify the magnitude of the point load as well as the distance from the Left and Bottom edges. Similarly in case of the Line load, the magnitude as well as the distance from the bottommost edge needs to be given. The Slab is designed for this load as well as this load is transferred to the supporting peripheral beams.
