How does STRUDS® check beams for deflection?

0

STRUDS® provides a detailed report of the beam design in which whether the deflection exceeds to maximum allowable limit as specified by the I.S 456 : 2000 is given. (That is, either span/350 mm or 20 mm, whichever is less). It also displays the load combination for which the deflection is exceeded, and the section of the beam, at which this occurs. The report is generated both for the working loads as well as the factored loads. User can exercise the option to redesign the beams for revised sections, if the deflection check is not satisfied.
