How does STRS Ohio’s proposed pension legislation affect STRS Ohio’s Defined Contribution Plan and Combined Plan?
All of the changes to the STRS Ohio Defined Benefit Plan require changes in existing statute. Now that legislation has been introduced, we should be able to get a better idea of how it might progress through the Ohio General Assembly in the coming weeks. The Retirement Board should then be able to look at any possible changes to future contributions and benefits of the STRS Ohio Defined Contribution and Combined Plans.
