The I-4/Maitland Boulevard sinkhole stabilization one of the largest sinkhole grouting projects ever undertaken in the United States. In addition, most surcharges are a maximum of 10 feet high. The surcharge for the I-4 Maitland Boulevard sinkhole will be more than twice as high as usual surcharges in Central Florida. The FDOT has devoted considerable effort and resources to make the future I-4 a safe and reliable highway for Central Florida’s citizens and visitors.
