How does St Benedict School inform parents?
St Benedict school decided to base its consultation evenings around tutor groups to save parents and staff time. The tutor sessions allowed parents to stay in one place and talk to just one person, rather than spend time moving from teacher to teacher and opened up the opportunity to discuss a child’s whole education, rather than individual subjects. All information is available through Facility so tutors can provide details of targets, attendance, events, assessments, reports, exam results and personal information and they can have fully informed discussions with parents. “It has become a quality event serving many purposes, not least providing real dialogue between a member of staff and a parent about the whole child. Facility has been at the core of this,” said headteacher Chris Reynolds.
