How does Spam-Aware detect spam messages?
Spam-Aware uses several methods to analyse messages and decide if it must block them or not. As long as the Expert System is not activated or even if it cannot clearly identify a message as spam or valid, Spam-Aware queries a list of servers that are specialised in antispam. These servers monitor a large number of spam messages that circulate worldwide and if the message being investigated is known by one of the servers being interrogated, Spam-Aware blocks it. Each message (accepted or blocked) is sent to the Expert System integrated in Spam-Aware, which analyses them and uses information that it contains to learn to recognise the valid messages from spam messages. As each person perceives differently what should be considered as spam or not, the Expert System must analyse a certain number of messages before acting efficiently.
