How does sp/rp/p work in yahoo fantasy baseball?
OK, we are mixing up real baseball with fantasy baseball. In a real baseball game, the starter CANNOT get a save. In fantasy baseball, a pitcher with SP eligibility in an SP spot CAN get a save. The pitcher would have to be used as a reliever in real life though. It doesn’t happen often, but it can happen. Here’s my advice for the SP/RP/P spots. Pick up more than 2 good RP’s. Use the 5 RP & P spots for RP’s most days and plug in SP’s into the P spots when necessary. The purpose is that RP’s in general help your ERA, WHIP, and K’s. They will pick up the occasional W along with saves. I normally try to carry about 4 good SP’s and 4 good RP’s.
