Basically, from digging and research. Whatever beat you can really feel inside your soul would most likely be the beat that you would be able to compose with. • What do you think of turntablism becoming mainstream? I mean, there are a lot of kids who want to be deejays now. Well, anything is going to be mainstream if you have an audience. But think of it this way: Out of say, 100 deejays that come out, there are going to be at least 20 that are true musicians. So the artform is constantly being elevated and the next generation is being influenced as well. It keeps it going.
