How does someone become a witch?
In years past, witches were born into witchy families or apprenticed with a coven or solitary practitioner for a number of years before their initiation into the Tradition they had been studying. A great controversy has infected the Community over whether or not self-initiates were truly witches. It is the position of Willow Moon Botanicals and affiliated partners, that witches are born. Many of them do not discover their inner-witch, and hence begin their studies, until later in life, particularly when they were born to a non-pagan family. But this does not in any way diminish their witchiness. We believe that all beings possess the same Divine energy, but not all come to the full knowledge of it. For this reason, we welcome all our fellow travellers and support their quest to find their own inner witch.
