HOW DOES SOMEONE BECOME A VETERINARY TECHNICIAN?
Most people become a Veterinary Technician by completing a formal two-year college program, receiving an associate degree in Applied Sciences and then successfully completing a national and state board examination to become legally certified. DESCRIBE THE VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM AT Northern Virginia Community College. The program begins in the fall semester and continues for five consecutive semesters until graduation in the spring 21 months later. There is currently an online option available. The program is a combination of basic medical science courses and “hands-on” practical courses.
