How does someone become a follower of the Jewish faith?
Judaism considers a person Jewish of their mother is Jewish. If not, Judaism offers a process of conversion. To be honest, we don’t encourage conversion, because we believe that spiritual choices should be organic and not “marketed” and because we believe that you don’t have to be Jewish to be OK with G-d. The first step to follow Judaism would be to do a little research to find out what you are getting yourself into. There are some excellent web-resources that you should take advantage of in your search. www.chabad.org, www.askmoses.com and www.jewishfaq.org are excellent places to start. Please realise that if you choose to follow Judaism, you really should do it properly, otherwise there really is no point to the transition. There are various conversion options available, but many are simply quick-fixes that are there to make people feel good about “becoming” Jewish, without actually adopting a full Jewish lifestyle. I would suggest you get in touch with a rabbi or two in your area
